Barcelona, archives of courtesy, shelter of the foreigners, hospital of the poor, father-land of  the brave , vengeance of the offended and pleasant correspondence of firm friendship, and in site, and in beauty, unique.

Barcelona is an incredible city!
The first time I visited it was back in 1996, on my senior year high school trip. I still remember perfectly the emotion of that moment.

The first time on a plane, the first trip with my friends … I didn’t really know what to expect from that city. To be honest, I suggested making the trip somewhere else. And so I jumped on the airplane without any expectations. And as it usually happens when you don’t know what will wait for you… boom! Love at first sight!

I remember that after that trip I returned to Barcelona in my dreams very often. After a few years, I stopped dreaming and I started travelling there for a few days whenever I could. I still did not know that that city with the sky so blue and that turns golden at dusk would have been my home very soon.

And here I am. nearly fifteen years after. I moved here at the beginning of 2006 planning to stay just for 6 months. But once you move to Barcelona, you don’t want to leave it!

And like me, there are many people who dream of moving to Barcelona. Probably you too, if you are reading this.

Moving to a new city is very exciting, but it requires some planning. Here are my tips on how to deal with the process of moving to Barcelona.
